The Pajama Game portrays the struggle between labor and management in a 1950’s pajama factory. The worker’s impassioned demand for a 7 ½ cent raise serves as the backdrop for a romance between the head of the grievance committee, Babe Williams, and the new superintendent, Sid Sorokin. As the couple finds themselves on opposing sides of the argument, their warring loyalties conflict with their hearts’ desires. What ensues is a heated contest of wills. With a supporting cast filled with feisty, outrageous characters, Sid and Babe have to learn to resolve their differences, or risk losing their chance at love. Susan McCormack-Pike directs Westfield Theatre’s vivacious take on the Tony Award-winning musical.
